FAQ

when do I need to book?

for most session types, its best to book as far in advance as possible. maternity & newborn sessions can be booked from 12 weeks gestation. there are limited spaces available each month and these often fill up quickly. to book, head to the contact page and flick us a message.

how do i book when I don't know when exactly my baby will arrive?

bookings are made using your due date, however your actual session date and time is not locked in until baby arrives. please let me know as soon as your baby arrives so we can schedule your session within the first 7-21 days of age.

my baby has milk spots and acne, is that a problem?

no! absolutely not! most of the newborns I photograph have a variety of blemishes. all newborn images are retouched individually.

when is the ideal time to photograph a newborn?

newborn photography is best from 7-21 days of age. they sleep deeper, curl and don't mind being handled. after 2-3 weeks, babies are a little harder to settle and are much more alert but that does not mean that after this period your baby cannot be photographed. I do take older newborns up to 6 weeks of age - after this age, you are more suited to a family studio session or milestone session.
